Pumpkin Gingerbread Trifle

I got the recipe from Paula Deen. Most recipes I've tried of hers have been awesome. This one was a little disappointing. While the trifle turned out pretty, the taste was a little flat. Definitely not "decadent" which is what I expect of a Paula Deen recipe.
I might make it again, but if I do - I am changing the recipe. Instead of using vanilla pudding mix, I am going to use cheesecake pudding or even Philadephia's cheesecake filling mix. I am also going to add caramel and nuts... because c'mon, ALL awesome trifles have caramel.
If you'd like the recipe, just goggle it. I'll post it when once I've found the right flavor combo. Of course, this will probably be around this time next year. I'm done with pumpkin for a while.

Ok, so now for some tv trivia.

So, who thinks of Rachel on "Friends" when they heard the word "trifle"? When she added the ground beef, I just died. It was classic.
