Recycling Update

Ok, so I'm not sure how long it's been since I first blogged about recycling. I am proud to say that I didn't "wait" until I could set up an elaborate recycling bin system. I am taking recycling one step at a time. Step one - Recycle Paper. I took an old clothes basket and just started throwing all paper and magazines in it. I took my first "load" to the recycle bin this evening. Note to self: Do NOT let it get so full that you can't pick the dang thing up. While I have been getting stronger from working out, I'm not strong like bull like my friends Jen and Susan are. As I was dumping all this stuff in the recycle bin, I had an ephiphany. I am still throwing paper away at work. We had recycle trash cans at one time - but I am not sure if we doing that anymore. I have to investigate. I throw too much paper away at work. First, I should stop printing - then 2nd, find a recycle trash can, and if that doesn't work, I will do what Jen does with her plastics, just take my paper home and put it my bin. (That should stop me from printing so much)

Aunt Janae bought her first pair of Jimmy Choo's (top 3 pictures) which prompted a photo shoot of them and some of her favorite designer shoes.

Asia World Market

Misty & I met on Saturday afternoon in Plano to check this place out.

There were several different brands of jellyfish. I really, really DO NOT WANT to know what they do with this.

Dried Shrimp...hmmmmm.. really??? EWWW!
(Again, lots of this too)

Jujubee's - I thought this was a candy you could buy at the movie theater...
We found these in the produce section.

Speaking of produce, this is Loofah. Seriously!!!
Not sure I'd want to take a bath with THAT!

The biggest freakin' carrots EVER!

The BEST CREPE Ever!!!
Ok, maybe not EVER - but it was an awesome way to end our trip to the market.
Misty and I split one - these are made while you watch, because we do watch what we eat. (whatever - this was just dessert before we went to eat pizza for dinner)
Bananas, whipped cream, caramel, chocolate ice cream folded like a cone.
YUMMY!!!

Dancing with the Stars

I was about to give up on Dancing. Last week was very boring. I've been multi-tasking and fast forwarding through this episode. Then, it was time for Warren Sapp. His Hustle had me cheering and clapping.. I'm sucked back in. Even went to http://www.abc.com/ to vote for him. I haven't voted since the first week or two. Ok, Maurice rocked too. He got 2 votes. Brooke was great - she got one vote - but Warren is my favorite - so he got the rest - I think he got 5 of my votes.

Note about Cloris - BLESS HER HEART!

Stud Muffin, Really ???

I saw this truck in Rockwall yesterday. The guy was about 17. I was cracking up because I hadn't heard or seen the term "Stud Muffin" since high school - and isn't the picture of the muffin just adorable?

The "REAL" Stud Muffins - LHHS 1983
Was I lucky or what? I went to high school with these hotties!

It's Monday - Back to Work

Do I really have to get up ???

Wine Tasting 101

On Saturday afternoon, I did my first wine promotion at Market Street grocery store in McKinney.

(Click link below on more information on the store)
http://www.unitedtexas.com/corporate/display.asp?Sid=29

Basically, they had a table set up in the wine section where I stood and offered people samples of wine. " Ma'am/Sir, would you like to sample some wine today? " I caught myself sounding like a broken record after a while. I only had to card 2 girls - who were 25 and felt honored. I remember those days. The wine that was being promoted was Casillero del Diablo from the Concha y Toro Winery. Casillero Del Diabl0 means "Cellar of the Devil" - just perfect for Halloween. There were 3 choices to sample - Cabernet Sauvignon (dry but fruity with a hint of cherries) , Chardonnay (dry with pineapple, citrus and vanilla aromas, and Carmenere (dry with black current and chocolate aromas with a hint flavor of spice to the taste). This is a Chilean wine that was on sale for 9.99. (Yes, I said all of that stuff)

Cowboys lose 100-0

I don't even know the final score. I think they scored a touch down in the last 2 minutes. Whoopee.

Gah!!!!! They have OFFICIALLY lost their MOJO!!!

but they are still my 'boys!

Oh MY GAWD!!!

I just got back from Walmart. I can't believe I'm 43, and still get embarrassed over buying feminine hygiene products. As you can see, I'm stocking up. (I had coupons, OK????)

Here's the story: I'm checking out. The guy behind me comments on Tony Romo since I am wearing my very stylin' Marion Barber shirt. (I'm like, dang, why did I put the kotex last and not up front) He's a good looking guy - mentions his wife is a Cowboy fan - *heavy sigh* - we continue to chat about the 'boys. I'm feeling all cool and stuff - talking and putting my bags in the cart while the lady is ringing up my items. The next thing I know she's like "Darn! - these not only scanned twice but like 4 times!" "these" are my 28 pack of Kotex Maxi pads, thankyouverymuch! I'm don't know to say. She's holding the pads and the box of tampons thinking she rang both up wrong.. I'm looking out of the side of my eye to see how the guy is handling this sudden turn in conversation - and thanking GOD he's married - good, he's pretending not to pay attention. In my mind, I'm saying 'Quit talking about it, please hurry, you are KILLING me". -OMG - I remembered that I have coupons... do I say anything and make this even worse? I'm sure my face is BEET red by now. I know I'm sweating because while I'm very cute in my Marion Barber shirt - it's 100 polyester jersey sweaty material. Finally, she figured it out - and as she rang up the 2nd box of tampons - I said meekly "Here I have coupons" - C'mon - the whole reason I bought all of that was to USE THE FREAKIN' COUPONS - I'm 43 and not going to be embarrassed. Time to GROW UP and be a Big Girl ! (Or A BIG BOY - for you guys out there who get embarrassed about this stuff)

Any Given Sunday - 3 hours til Kickoff

Cows vs Rams @ Noon.

Ok.. I have to admit - I still haven't gotten over last week's Cowboy game. I couldn't remember who they were even playing. I thought it was the Cardinals, then I remembered - oh yeah, that was last weeks game - maybe I just wanted a "do-over".. why can't they have those in football?
Well, let's see if Jessie's kisses made Tony's pinky all better to play today.

Time to go get my game shirt on (Marion the Barberian is still my "fav")
