Sloppy Nachos

I know...
These aren't pretty...
...but they sure are good!!!

When I was a teenager,
we used to hang out at sandwich place called

They are still around, just not the one we used to go to off Skillman.

We loved these nachos
and every once in a while
I just get the craving...
so I made up my own

Sloppy Nachos

tortilla chips or tostadas
sharp cheddar cheese, grated
button mushrooms (jar), drained
1 avocado -ripen
1/2 cup pace picante sauce
pinch of salt
teaspoon lime

  • Preheat oven 375 degrees
  • Cover baking sheet with foil
  • Layer with tortilla chips (or tostadas)
  • Top with cheese (as much as you want)
  • Place mushrooms on top of cheese and chips
  • Bake until cheese is melted about 10 minutes
While the nachos are baking, make the guacamole

  • With a fork, mash the avocado and salsa together
  • Stir in salt and lime
  • Spread the guacamole over the warm nachos
Grab a bunch of napkins, and enjoy!

Fab Flowers

On Friday's, we have a flower vendor in the building I work in
They sell roses, tulips, gerber daisies, etc
Usually for about $15 to $20

Every once in a while they have a super special
I got 2 dozens roses for $10

Aren't they lover-ly?

Quick Trip

So, on the way to Graham
We had to stop and buy beer
so we stopped here

Doesn't this just scream road trip

Is it wrong that it wasn't even 10am,
and we were trying to buy beer?
Well, the store didn't open until 10,
so we had to mosey on over to this place next door
for breakfast.
Finally, beer store opened...
check out the parrot
"polly want a keg?"

We arrived in Graham about 12ish

We arrived at the party about 1ish
Check out this smoker...
This is some serious BBQ

Stuffed Jalapenos
These were stuffed with cream cheese
 and strawberries

This was my favorite
Cherry pie cooked on the grill
(chuckwagon style)

Can't wait to figure out how to do that for our country Thanksgiving
