In the past couple of months, I have been on a quest to locate local farmer markets
in order to identify locally grown produce and grass fed meats
One thing I have learned is that it's very difficult to eat locally
I also realized that if I'm really serious about taking this path
then I needed to make one major change
Eliminating Diet Coke (aka artificial sweetners)
I probably drank anywhere from 4-6 a day at least
This is how I got my caffeine
I love coffee, but my stomach doesn't
I love all tea
so this is my new drink of choice
I have officially been off Diet Cokes since last Monday!
One full week...
I think I've been a DC drinker for over 15 years
so this is pretty monumentus!

Good call! I know it's hard, but you can do it!! All the fake sugars aren't so great either. :( That's why I gave up Diet DP. And iced tea is also my drink of choice! :)
I admire you! It takes such discipline to rewire our thoughts and needs.
I don't drink much soda (not even 1 a day) so I can only imagine how hard it must be for you. Coffee hurts my stomach too, I give in sometimes...but, tea is my drink of choice. Good for you for trying to be more healthy!
I recently quit DC too. I co-hosted a baby shower this past weekend and my co-hostess introduced me to Harney & Sons teas. In particular, the Vanilla Comora we served absolutely knocked my socks off (and all the other guests as well. I like tea, but don't normally go head over heels for it. The Vanilla Comora is simply the most incredible tea I've ever tasted. Thought you might be interested in hearing about it, as a fellow former DC fan, and tea convert. Ta Ta! Jenn
Congrats Sandi , on giving up something you enjoyed so much ! It does take determination and discipline........you've showed a good dose of both.........again.......CONGRATS !!!! Love ya......Norma
