The opening of infamous

In-N-Out Burger

made it's 

debut

today here 

in Texas 

i.e.

launching BurgerSense's

first posting

I can't wait to get in on

the burger tasting band wagon

What's next with these senses???

Marfa- El Cosmico

I love DailyCandy!

I find out

about the most

random things from them

Yesterday, I read about El Cosmico

in Marfa , Texas

I have never been to Marfa

but for some reason, it's a place I've wanted to visit

Now, I have a reason!

Here's the event I want to check out -

a cooking class with Chef Lou Lambert:

SEPTEMBER 16-18: Big City Camp Cooking

Traditional chuck wagon ingredients will be prepared using "big city" culinary techniques -- all over a live outdoor camp fire. Sample Menu: Barbacoa Raviolis, Gulf Seafood Pasole Verde, Bock Braised Dutch Oven Wagyu Short Ribs, Gingered Pear Fried Pies with Honey Buttermilk Ice Cream.

You can stay in a remodeled trailer, a yurt, or a teepee.   I can't decide between the yurt or the teepee.   (You can even pitch your own tent, but that's too rustic for me)

I have been fascinated

with chuckwagon cooking

since I attended a bbq

in Graham, Texas last year

It inspired me

to acquire

these cookbooks

that I coveted last year

&

Texas Cowboy Kitchen by Grady Spears with June Naylor

Let me just add

that this fascination

is all very bizarre,

because I'm definitely not

an outdoorsy camper girl!
