Parmesan "Fire Bowl"

This is a parmesan cheese wheel

Iron Chef Mario Batali "flambe'd" it
then tossed pasta in it


I am scare of "flambe"
I tried it once making bananas foster - and was so scared,
my son and I ended up eating the dessert with the liquid rum

We enjoyed this in a restaurant in Amsterdam and it was great! The pasta was covered with Parmesan and the brandy flavor was still there. We are going to try this at home and have ordered a 24 lb wheel. Wish us luck!
