Twilight Trilogy - The "Pre" Party

Remember when I received Edward in the mail?

Misty and I planned a little party
before we started
the 6 hour movie marathon to see
Twilight, New Moon &
Eclipse

Check out our "black" carpet sprinkled with roses
Edward is waiting...

We prepared a "make your own mini pizza" bar
with a caesar salad

Nothing like eating roasted garlic
before a 6 hour movie marathan
with 8 of your closest friends

These glasses were dipped in blood
(mixture of karo syrup & red food coloring)

Chocolate Chip Cupcakes
with vanilla ice cream topped with blood
(just kidding - it's raspberry)

Of course these wines
were bought
(at Central Market)
for their names
Red was just ok
but
 First Love was very good

This is a dark red champagne
It was yummy

Misty put these 6 hour movie survival bags together
(can you see the 5 hour energy drink in there? it really worked)

The movies were great!

I've seen Twilight 4 times now.
I've seen New Moon twice
Eclipse was awesome

Now off to plan the Breaking Dawn party...

Twilight Bloody Cupcakes

Made chocolate cupcakes using this recipe
Added a scoop or two of Blue Bell Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Topped with Raspberry Sauce

I used jam for testing purposes,
but plan to use
the raspberry sauce from here
for our pre-Twilight Party
next Tuesday

I got the idea to put them in a martini glass
from the Match Maker episode
of one of my new favorite
Food Network shows

New Moon Countdown = 4 Days

I just bought these - you can get them with Bella, Edward or Jacob's face on the box. Of course, I chose "EC"
I'm so excited.. I will be going to see the New Moon at Midnight "01" on Friday, 11/20.

Check out this blog - she is an "official" Twilight stalker - and has identified all blogs "Twilight" ...

Twilight

"It’s twilight. It’s the safest time of day for us. The easiest time. But also the saddest, in a way… the end of another day, the return of the night. Darkness is so predictable, don’t you think?"

Twilighters...

I have found a new awesome series. A friend loaned me "City of Bones" by Cassandra Clarke like 6 months ago. I put it aside as a "book I will read when I have nothing else to read". So, I picked it up this weekend, and when I saw that the main character was 15 years old, I almost put it down (just like I almost did with "Twilight") - but once I started reading it - LOVED IT... just like "Twilight". I couldn't wait to get the next book "City of Ashes". I looked at Half Price Books first, but they didn't have it. I felt a little weird looking in the young adults section, but oh well. I found it at Borders - in the young adult section. I almost picked up the third book "City of Glass" but it was hardback ($$), and I figured that was too much to spend on books - because we all know that I didn't leave Half Price Books empty handed!

My Patio

I bought these "gazebo" lights at Target. I have been teased for not taking my "Christmas lights" down. I'm like, what? I just put these up in May. I LOVE LOVE LOVE lights.

I really want to create this look from Twilight, but those lights would not survive Texas thunderstorms year round.

Twilight

"Twilight" is the most awesome love story ever. The movie ROCKED!!! Totally Rocked. It made me flashblack to when I was young. We didn't have a movie even close to this caliber. We had "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" (not a love story) - then "Sixteen Candles".. a love story sort of. (I have to admit- I did "heart" Jake Ryan).

"Twilight" absolutely held true to the book. The movie was just as good if not better than the book. Wow... I can't wait to see it again. That's all I can keep saying is "wow, wow, wow".

I totally recommend it even if you haven't read the book. Once you see it, you will want to read the book. Stephanie Meyer is a great story teller. I've read all 4 books - and they just got better and better.

Becoming More Than Just a Good Bible Study Girl
