Anyone who knows me and/or has been following my blog for any amount of time, knows that I totally love, love, love

excited

that they are

FINALLY

coming to

TEXAS

Since it was announced in May, 2011, I have been stalking their website. Everytime I used the store locator, Chesterfield, MO popped up as the closest one to me (approximately 600 miles) which we already know since we drove there back in October 2010.

Everytime I'd click on

"See Where TJ's Is Opening Soon"

nothing, nada, zip was listed for Texas

but now...

guess what???

Not only are the Texas locations listed

but when I put in my zip code

all the "closest" locations

are now in Texas

and not in Missouri, Nebraska or New Mexico.

Trader Joe's in Texas

It was a year ago last weekend,

when Misty, Melissa and I

took a road trip to Chesterfield, MO

(600 miles one way)

 to the closest Trader Joe's to Dallas

It was about 6 months ago

as we were planning our next road trip -

would it be Nebraska or New Mexico

 that we heard that we were

getting a

Trader Joe's

here in

 Dallas/Ft Worth 

Then, nada, nothing... no word

about Dallas...

well, just rumors...

like how

Lake Highlands was petitioning

for them to put their store in a newly developed area

&

how

the old Whole Foods location

on Lower Greenville would be perfect

now
there are rumors of locations

Knox/Henderson

or

Walnut and Central

again..

all RUMORS

Trader Joe's is being very tight lipped

I think they've reported my emails as SPAM

(hee hee just kidding)

Looks like they found space in Ft Worth

 (I love Ft Worth)

I'm reading about space in Houston

It's November, so no Trader Joe's in Dallas

this year

but

if it does hits Houston first,

you can bet

I will be there

so my Houstonian friends

We veered off the path to check out

off Historic Route 66

Check out the 

 cream of baked potato soup

YUM 

smoked turkey pretzel sandwich

with havarti cheese

(you can barely see it, but it's over there)

with fried potato salad

OMG

fried cheesecake

This was the absolute best dessert

I have ever had

The cheese cake filling was like heaven

My new favorite... Turkey Jerky from Trader Joe's. I have never really liked "jerky" - but this stuff is GOOD!!!
I got this for my birthday from my friend in California. I wish, wish, wish that we had one in Texas!
She also sent me some 2 Buck Chuck - Chardonnay! Can't wait to try it!!!
